Visit before surgery2
あっという間に手術１週間前になりました。
この日は入院前の最後の診察。夫も一緒に来てくれました。
検査の結果で少し貧血があるが手術に差し支えはない程度であること。がん検診の結果は陰性だったが念のため摘出した子宮検体のを病理診断に出すこと。あとは手術当日まで体調を崩さないように…という話で終わりました。
「入院中の家族の付き添いはナースが嫌がるので（コロナがまた流行中だった）、旦那さんは入院手続きが終わったら帰っていいですよ。面会は一日おき一回15分です。」
と言われました。
15分…か。
「大丈夫だからね、頑張りましょうね」とK先生はにっこり笑っていました。
「先生にお任せします。よろしくお願いします。」
そのあと看護師さんから入院時のレンタルセットの説明があり、申し込みをしました。
のセットで550円×入院日数の負担。とりあえずその基本セットだけ申し込みをして、術後は紙おむつのセット（570円/日）も使うのでその都度追加分の料金をお知らせしてくれる、ということでした。入院するほとんどの人が申し込むそうで今はパジャマとか用意しなくてよいのですね。便利！
It was already one week before the surgery. This was my last checkup before hospitalization. My husband came with me. The test results showed that I was a little anaemic, but it would not affect the surgery. The cancer screening results were negative, but just to be sure, the removed uterine sample was sent for pathology diagnosis. The rest was to make sure I was in good health until the day of the surgery… and that was the end of it. “Because the nurses don’t like family members accompanying hospitalized patients (the coronavirus was spreading again), you can go home after the hospitalization procedures are complete. Visiting hours are 15 minutes, every other day,” I was told. “You’ll be fine, so let’s do our best,” Dr. K said with a smile. “I’ll leave it to you, doctor. Thank you.”After that, the nurse explained to me about the rental set for hospitalization, and I applied for it.

The set cost 550 yen x the number of days of hospitalization. For now, I only applied for the basic set, and since I would also need a disposable diaper set (570 yen/day) after surgery, they would let me know the additional cost each time. Apparently most people who are hospitalized apply for this, so now I don’t have to prepare pajamas or anything. Convenient!
